Podcasts
Podcasting is the most efficient delivery method for reaching an audience with audio and video programming. With the availability of devices like iPods and TiVos, people can now take advantage of the ubiquity and convenience of internet distributed media. Consumers no longer have to wait around for programming. That’s why podcast directories, such as iTunes, are loaded with content from sources like NPR, CNN, ABC, NBC, BBC and many others.
The true beauty of this delivery method is that anyone can have a program listed in the same directories as all of these media giants. The playing field is almost level in the online world of media distribution. Whether you have a story to tell or information to deliver, iMAGiNARY DiGiTAL can produce your podcast and get it out there to the people you want to reach.

What’s a Podcast?
It’s a Personal On-Demand Broadcast
A podcast is an audio or video program that is delivered to your computer automatically via an RSS Feed. Podcasts can take the form of entertainment programming or they can be informational or educational in nature. Podcasts can also be used to communicate to students, employees, or any other targeted group. There are podcasts in the areas of news, animation, comedy, education, hobby, technology, and too many more to list here. If you can think of a topic, there’s probably a podcast about it. There is almost no limit to the type of content that can be included in a podcast. This makes it an ideal platform for creating interest in or informing people about virtually anything.
Podcast are found in directories, which are listings of the various podcasts available for free to the public. A couple of the larger directories are iTunes, Odeo, Podcast Alley and Podcast Pickle. Podcasts can be subscribed to using a PodCatcher such as iTunes, Juice, or Doppler.
Podcasts can be played on a variety of devices including computers, portable devices, and even televisions. A few of the more popular devices capable of playing podcasts are computers, iPods, MP3 Players, PSPs, iPhones, PDAs, TiVos, and Apple TVs to name a few. Basically, podcasts are like television or radio style shows that you can take with you and watch or listen to at your convenience.
